During games managers are generally responsible for the following:
- Collect money to pay the umpire. This can be done each week or as a total amount for the season. The team manager then pays one umpire each game.
The umpiring fees are:
- NetSetGO (8-9yrs) $10
- Juniors (10, 11, 12yrs) $15
- Inters (13, 14yrs) $20
- Cadets (15-17yrs) and Seniors $25
- Premier League $40 - Collect the scoresheet and organise a scorer for the game from the team when necessary. The team whose name appears FIRST on the draw will be scoring for that game, but a manager should always be standing next to the other team’s scorer to ensure that all goals are recorded. Whoever the official scorer is, they should stand on the sideline within the centre third. The winning team should return the score sheet to the official’s window. If your team has won, make sure this is done promptly. Failure to return the sheet can result in points not being awarded for the ‘win’.
