NetSetNET (6-7YRS) + NetSetGO (8-9YRS) Information
NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It has been developed to provide children from 5 to 10 years with the best possible learning and playing experience to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation.
The program consists of 3 tiers – “Net”, “Set” and "GO".
"Net" - for 5 to 7 year olds learning netball related fundamental movement skills.
"Set" - for 8 and 9 year olds to be a part of modified games with a focus on fun and teamwork.
"GO" - for 10 year olds moving into their first experiences of netball with less modifications than the "Set" tier.
Corrimal Netball Club is a NetSetNET club. NetSetNET is a skills-based program run by Illawarra coaches at Illawarra Sports Stadium (Fred Finch Park, Berkeley) on a Saturday morning. This program is for players who are wanting to develop their netball skills and is a great introduction to netball for those aged 6 and 7 years.
CNC will accept NetSetNET registrations (skills-based program) from player turning 6 years (born in 2019) and 7 years (born in 2018).
Corrimal Netball Club is also a NetSetGO club where teams participate in IDNA's NetSetGO (sometimes called Netta) Competition on a Saturday morning. There is no grading in Corrimal NetSetGO teams and there are no semis or finals in the IDNA Saturday NetSetGO Competition.
CNC will accept NetSetGO registrations from players turning 7 years (born in 2018), 8 years (born in 2017) or 9 years (born in 2016).
NetSetGO competition games are organised by Illawarra District Netball Association and are played on Saturday mornings at either 8.00am or 9.15am. Games are played at 2 venues: Guest Park Fairy Meadow or Fred Finch Park Berkeley. NetSetGO games go for 4 x 10min quarters.
Corrimal Netball Club's NetSetGO uniform is the Club's Shift Dress.
Corrimal Netball Club does not have a set training day or afternoon. Training is usually held on a day that best suits the team coach.
Corrimal Netball Club endeavours to find a coach for every team, however all our coaches are volunteers who also lead busy lives. Coaches are not guaranteed for every team. CNC tries to prioritise its coaches for NetSetGO, Junior and Intermediate teams. Coaches are volunteers who generally have a netball background or an interest in sport, or are a parent who is willing to help out. If you are able to or are interested in coaching, please let the Club know. There is lots of support and resources available for you.
If you wish to join CNC and play NetSetGO please refer back to our website on 4th January 2025 when our Registration links become active.
