Letter to Coaches 2020
IDNA have recently approved our Return to Training Plan. There are several procedures and processes that MUST be put into place and adhered to by everyone involved in a training session. These processes have been put in place to meet the requirements of Sport Australia, Netball NSW and IDNA. Please read the attached documents so that you are fully aware of your responsibilities as a coach.
The first, most important process is that Fairy Meadow Netball Courts are now to be shared with Fairy Meadow, Corrimal and Woonona clubs due to schools not being available for Woonona at the moment. This means there are only 2 asphalt courts (court 3 and court 4) allocated to Corrimal for training. The remainder of the teams will be able to access the grass courts. This will change once Woonona can use the schools (likely in Term 3) and once we are able to have more than 1 team training on a court at once but for now this MUST be adhered to in the instructions below. We have taken into consideration all of the training times that have been submitted and worked out a schedule. ALL training sessions have been reduced to 40 minutes as there is a mandatory 20 minutes change over period. This allows the finishing team 10 minutes to leave the area and the new team 10 minutes to arrive before their allotted time. Again, this will be reviewed once restrictions ease but for now this must be the case.
All coaches will be provided with a bottle of sanitiser for your hands and wipes for the equipment you use from the kitbag. These are to be used as per the attached instructions before and after every training session. They are not to be used by the players. The girls are to supply their own sanitiser to reduce the contact with the 'kitbag sanitiser' and to reduce the possible risk of infection. Please respond to this email with the date of your first training session and it will be brought to the courts for you.
There are to be no spectators at your training sessions. Parents (Guardians) are asked to drop the girls either in the carpark and they walk across from the skatepark entrance or to bring them to the session from that entrance and leave immediately.
Players and parents (Guardians) are asked to leave via the Eastern entrance (Cambridge Ave). This is adhering to social distancing guidelines and our plans approved by IDNA for training.
An Attendance Register is to be completed and emailed to the club after EVERY session. This is in case of a positive Covid-19 diagnosis presenting and the club being able to provide contact tracing for NSW Health.
The training sessions are still to be 'non contact' This involves skills such as passing, shooting and defending. Small groups skills with set drills but no close contact such as defending, attacking or match play drills.
Please advise your teams of the requirements necessary for training to commence, arriving and leaving protocols and also the BYO sanitiser, drink bottle etc.
Once we receive notification that you have read and understood the above we will approve your teams training sessions to commence.
If you have any questions or need further clarification please do not hesitate to contact me via email or phone.
